Technical Information

Surface preparation: Apply to cured concrete at the recommended 28 day cure. Profile the surface to have a Concrete Surface Prep rating of CSP 1 rating in accordance to International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) standards. This is done by using SS Surf Prep full strength or mechanically grinding. All contaminants must be removed from the host substrate including acid, residue, paint, oil, grease, sealers, wax and dirt, etc. spray/base Mixing: Dilute three parts of clean water with one part Polymer. This becomes the mix solution. If pigmenting the mix, add it to your mix solution. Add the contents of the SS Spray/Base bag to 1 to 2 gallons of mixed solution. Mix according to the application and tools being used. Mix thoroughly with paddle drill or mortar mixer. Application: Prime the properly prepared substrate by dampening with the mixed solution of 3:1. You can either spray or roll it on. When your primer has become tacky, you can apply the SS Spray/Base with a magic trowel, hand trowel or hopper gun. If you are putting down a second coat of base material or spraying down a knockdown, you do not have to prime between coats. Stamp mix Mixing: Dilute three parts of clean water with one part Polymer. This becomes the mix solution. If pigmenting the mix, add it to your mix solution. Add the contents of the SS Stamp Mix bag to 1 to 2 gallons of mixed solution. Mix thoroughly with paddle drill or mortar mixer. Application: You will not need to prime the substrate if you have one coat of SS Spray/Base down first. Pour out your Stamp mix and use a gauge rake set to the proper depth. Trowel out your gauge rake lines prior to stamping. Overworking the surface may cause loss of bond and make air blisters. Wait till the stamp coat is ready to stamp. Stamp with SS Clear Liquid Release. Cover with 1 mil plastic after stamping to prevent surface cracking when applying in temperatures above 80 degrees or in full sun or high winds.

Use water and a scrub brush. Dispose of containers in accordance with local and federal regulations.

Overlays need to be mechanically ground to be removed.
